How long does the Data Analytics course last?
The Data Analytics Skills Bootcamp lasts for 16 weeks. It involves one day per week of in-person learning and an additional online learning session per week. You can apply for a place here.
Is it fully funded?
Yes, the Data Analytics Skills Bootcamp is fully funded for eligible participants. This includes individuals aged 19 or above who are unemployed, economically inactive, self-employed, or working part-time and seeking a new career in data.
What is the time commitment?
The time commitment includes three hours of in-person learning at The Curious Lounge in Reading and three additional hours of virtual live sessions per week. There is also optional self-paced learning with 50 hours of access a month to The Curious Lounge whilst studying. The total required commitment is 96 hours of learning over the 16-week period.
Where are the in-person classes held?
The in-person classes are held at The Curious Lounge in Reading town centre close to the train station.
What skills will I learn?
The Data Analytics Skills Bootcamp covers a range of skills including extracting data, data cleansing, diagnostic analysis, automating data processes, dashboards & data visualisation, and storytelling with data. You can also choose to specialise in specific areas such as Tableau, Excel/Google Sheets, or SQL.
Who is eligible for a free place?
Eligibility for a free place includes:
- Being aged 19 or above
- Being unemployed, economically inactive, self-employed, or working part-time and seeking a new career in data
- Having the right to work in the UK
Can employed individuals participate in the Data Analytics course?
Yes, employed individuals looking to upskill can participate. In this case, the employer would pay a small percentage of the costs, depending on the company size. It's best to contact the course providers for specific details.

How often do I need to attend in-person classes?
As a minimum you will need to attend in-person classes one day per week and a virtual session too at the analytics academy in Reading.
What is the blended learning approach?
The blended learning approach combines weekly in-person classes for hands-on training and collaboration, with additional online learning sessions. This approach provides flexibility while ensuring practical experience with data analytics tools.
